Results of the Social Tournament on 14th April

Our latest doubles social tournament was held on 14th April. The weather stayed kind and we had a number of supporters who enjoyed some good company, as well as the action on court. Players changed partners for the four 7-game rounds, interspersed with tennis trivia questions and finished off with an array of well-deserved refreshments.  Congratulations to the overall ladies’ & men’s winners: Sue Ireland, and Iain Pemberton, pictured with tournament organiser, Linda Smith. A big thank you extended to all who made the event a great success. Cheesy grins of the day go to Sarah Fryer & Lynn Warburton, proudly sporting their runner-up mementoes!

Senior Club Tournament

The Annual Club Tournament will be taking place again this year with the finals being on September 17th 2023. All members are invited to participate in this annual event, which is always played in a friendly but competitive environment. Please ensure you are available on Finals Day before entering the competition. This year we are hoping to start the competition early, to give players extra time especially those who play league tennis, or have long holidays!

To all members, come and have a go, and to all competitors, good luck.

The entry form can be found here, and the Tournament Rules here.

Free team practice sessions for those interested in Adult Summer League Tennis

We will be running four team practice sessions through March, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. This will allow us to get some competitive practice in ahead of the start of the Summer league. It will also be an opportunity to ensure team selection is based on putting forward the club's best players and team combinations and allow our Club Captain, Jamie Oakes, to see players in action.

The practices will be two hour sessions and alternate to allow as many to attend as possible:

Tuesday 7th March 6.30pm Ladies

Wednesday 8th March 6.30pm Men

Tuesday 14th March 6.30pm Men

Wednesday 15th March 6.30pm Ladies

Tuesday 21st March 6.30pm Ladies
