Social Mixed Doubles Tournament
Thanks to all who helped with arrangements and to the full-house of players who joined in our latest social doubles tournament, held on 28th September.
24 players enjoyed the lovely sunshine, playing 4 rounds of 5-games, followed by refreshments.
Pictured below are the Ladies winner, Silva Bailey and Men’s winner Chris Lloyd, with tournament organiser Linda Smith & helper, Linda Sealey.
Slazenger Balls
Dinny has now stepped down from administering the club’s Slazenger balls.
Thanks to Shanice Chan for volunteering to look after them ongoing.

Whatever your level & competitiveness there is a category for YOU to join the club tournament - make new friends & meet up with old ones
We have again included the Veterans (over 50 on 1st January 2025) & 'Fun' Mixed Doubles categories, where partners are drawn by ballot. For all other doubles categories please enter with a partner.
Closing date for entries will be Friday 18th April. The draw will be posted in the Club House on Sunday 4th May and appear on our webpage shortly after. Final's to played on Sunday 14th September.

Club Finals Day
The weather was not great for the Club Finals!
The initial start at 13:00 was pushed back till 16:00, four of the finals were then played.
The singles, and mixed doubles all being played the following week.
All results will be available here, once played/updated
SMC Presentation Day
The club hosted the South and Mid Cheshire Tennis League presentation day, on Sunday 8th September.
Despite the wet weather there were a decent number of competitors in the friendly tournament.
Eventually rain stopped play and everyone moved inside the Village Hall, for lunch, the presentations and the league EGM.
The food was appreciated by all, many thanks to all the volunteers who provided it.

Maureen Kirby & Gerry Ferber Memorial Tournamen
Congratulations to Ruth Court & Roger Bentley, winners of our doubles tournament held on the 30th June.
Twenty players enjoyed playing four rounds of matches. Trophies were presented by Norman Kirby and Carol Ferber beneath the eaves of the club’s newly constructed gazebo, which provided some welcome shelter from the light rain showers.
Thanks go to Linda Smith for running the tournament & to all those who contributed to the competition-planning and delicious after-match refreshments.

Results of the Social Tournament on 14th April
Our latest doubles social tournament was held on 14th April. The weather stayed kind and we had a number of supporters who enjoyed some good company, as well as the action on court. Players changed partners for the four 7-game rounds, interspersed with tennis trivia questions and finished off with an array of well-deserved refreshments. Congratulations to the overall ladies’ & men’s winners: Sue Ireland, and Iain Pemberton, pictured with tournament organiser, Linda Smith. A big thank you extended to all who made the event a great success. Cheesy grins of the day go to Sarah Fryer & Lynn Warburton, proudly sporting their runner-up mementoes!

Cuddington A clinch The Treble
The Cuddington A team clinched the Treble on Sunday 24th March, winning the Winter and Spring SMC Cup.
They had already won both the SMC Winter League and the SMC Spring League

Maureen Kirby & Gerry Ferber Memorial Tournament
Congratulations to Kath Yates & Matt Petch, both winners of our latest Social Tournament.
Twenty members braved the blustery conditions, playing four rounds of 7-game matches. The sun shone as trophies were presented by Norman Kirby and Carol Ferber.
Thanks go to Nick Lyon for running the tournament & to all those who contributed to the after-play refreshments.
Cuddington Mixed A win the SMC Mixed knockout cup
Congratulations to Cuddington Mixed A who beat Hartford Mixed A, 7-1, to take the annual Mixed Knockout Cup.
